Water Damage Restoration

Oh no! Has your home or business just been flooded?

What you should do?

Having your home or business flooded or affected by water damage can be an overwhelming and stressful experience. The first and most important thing to do is:

Don’t panic and ensure the safety of yourself and others.Water Damage Restoration

Do not use any electrical appliances and if the flood is very severe it may be safest to turn off all the power to the property.

Be careful of slip and trip hazards in water affected areas. A lot of hard flooring such as timber, concrete and tiles can become slippery when wet.

Where is the water coming from? If safe to do so try and locate the water source and turn it off.   Avoid wading through water as it may be contaminated depending on where the flood is coming from.

If water is coming through the roof be careful of sagging ceilings that may be at risk of falling.

Move all portable furnishings, valuables and items from the affected area to a dry and safe place. Wipe off any excess water from these items.

When dealing with floods and leaks, time is critical! The quicker the response, the more likely any damage will be reduced.

Call us on 6555 7743. In an emergency, we can attend the site to minimise damage any time of day or night.

If insured, contact your insurance company to commence the claim process.

Take plenty of photos and notes of the flooded area and damaged contents.

We provide a 24 hour service covering the Perth metropolitan area.

When we arrive at a water damage restoration job, our standard procedure involves:

  1. Assessing the damage and controlling or restricting any further damage.
  1. Extracting all excess water.
  1. After all excess water has been extracted we will begin the structural drying process which involves installing specialised drying equipment including dehumidifiers, air movers and air filters.
  1. Depending on the situation, certain structures and building materials may require special or target drying. In these situations we will install “fit for purpose” drying equipment so that these difficult to dry structures are returned to normal as quickly and as safely as possible.
  1. Monitor and assess the drying process with specialised moisture meters until the drying goals have been achieved.  It is important to dry all floor types, structural materials and contents to within industry set standards.
  1. Detailed report writing for our customers and insurance assessors.
